HOW IT WORKS

Three steps, and only the first one is yours.

  1. 1

    You give them a card.

Their code and a card to print are yours the moment you buy. Bring it to the shower, or email or text it. Nothing ships, so it can’t arrive late.

  2. 2

They get one question a day.

It arrives by email at the time they set. They reply with a line, or write in their journal, and it’s saved to that day.

  3. 3

    Their year becomes a book.

A year after they start, every answer is printed in an 8 × 10 inch hardcover and mailed to them. Every day they write becomes a dot on the cover, so no two are alike.

IN THEIR WORDS

From the first people to try it.

I’m about to be a first-time parent, and I’m grateful for this product. It’s giving me a way to look back at my journey during pregnancy and on those good days and not so good days.

Ashley P.30s · Pennsylvania

Lots of big life events in recent months with getting married, buying a home, and having my first kid on the way. I’ve used journaling a lot in the past, but this really understands the different life chapters I’m in and helps me navigate my thoughts in an efficient way. Great product!

Summer M.20s · Maryland

My life has gotten so busy, the very thought of having to open a journal and start from scratch each time is daunting. I’ve got a kid in competitive cheer, and I’m busy with my bakery business. Time is precious, and Innerfolk gives me that time to write it all down but also saves me time in the process when doing so.

Sydney C.30s · Maryland

LOVE this journal. A life saver when I had a big move from TX to NC. It’s a big adjustment, and I’ll miss my friends and memories in TX, but so grateful to be back with family. This has been such a great way for me to document and process my thoughts and emotions throughout the process.

Stephanie N.40s · North Carolina

Super busy: school and work. Never a dull moment, and I’ve heard my older friends talk about missing their 20s, so when I saw Innerfolk, I thought this is a perfect way to document this time in my life so I can look back a year later.

Lauren L.20s · Florida

I’ve actually used this at times to help me generate new ideas for my book that I’m writing and, at the same time, what life is like at the moment. Really great way to stay creative, and actually give yourself time to reflect.

BEFORE YOU BUY

The things people ask.

No. Their year starts the day they open it, not the day you buy, and runs a full year from that day. Nothing is lost by giving it early.

Yes. Their code and a card to print are yours the moment you buy, so you can print it tonight and write in it. Or send it by email or text on the day.

No. A baby book records the baby’s milestones. Innerfolk asks about them: this chapter of their life, in their own words.

No. A gifted year is prepaid and simply stops, and they never see what you paid. A month before it ends, we ask them once whether they want to carry on.

No. Their journal is private, and only they can choose to share an answer. We tell you when they start, and nothing else.

No. The code is all they need, and they add their own email when they open it. For the printed book, we ask them where to send it when their year closes, so it never goes to an old address.

Go back to their registry and mark it as purchased, so nobody buys it twice. Your receipt comes from Innerfolk.

No. They reply to the email, or open their journal in any browser, on their phone or computer. There’s no password: we email them a link to sign in.

It’s printed, bound and mailed within 6 weeks of their year closing, anywhere in the US. The digital book reaches them within a week.

The code doesn’t expire. We remind you once, three weeks on, and then leave it. If they haven’t started within 30 days, email us and we’ll refund it.

Give them their year.
