Refund Policy
7 days free, or 14 through a practitioner's card, then 30 days from any charge to change your mind. Renewals, monthly payments, gifts and the book included.
LAST UPDATED OCTOBER 24, 2026
The short version: 7 days free, or 14 if you joined through a practitioner's card, then 30 days from any charge to change your mind. Renewals, monthly payments, gifts and the printed book included. No questions asked.
During the free trial
You get 7 days before anything is charged, or 14 days if you joined through a practitioner's card. Cancel at any point during the trial and you are charged nothing at all.
We email you before the trial ends. We will not let it lapse into a charge without telling you first.
Within 30 days of any charge
Email support@innerfolk.co and we refund you in full.
This includes renewals. If a renewal came through and you did not mean to keep going, that is exactly what this is for. You do not need a reason and we will not ask for one.
The refund goes back to the card you paid with, usually within five business days.
After 30 days
On a yearly plan, your membership runs to the end of the year you paid for, and does not renew. We do not refund part of a year.
You keep full access until it ends, and everything you wrote exports as plain text, any time, from your profile.
If you pay monthly
Cancel any time and nothing more is charged. You keep full access until the end of the month you have paid for.
The 30 days apply to every monthly payment: email us within 30 days of one and we refund it in full.
Your book is made after your 12th monthly payment, and on Edition it is printed and mailed within 6 weeks of that. If you stop before then, there is no book, and everything you wrote stays yours. It exports as plain text, any time, from your profile.
If you are on the Edition tier
If your book has already been printed and mailed when you ask for a refund, we refund the membership less the cost of the book, and you keep the book. We will tell you the figure before we do it.
If the book has not yet been printed, the refund is in full.
If you were given a gift, or gave one
A gift is one payment. Nothing renews, and the person you gave it to is never asked for a card.
If the code has not been redeemed, email us within 30 days of the purchase and we refund it in full.
Once the code has been redeemed, we do not refund it. Somebody else has started their year at that point, and ending it would take something away from a person who did not buy it.
A code does not expire. If you bought one and have not handed it over yet, there is no hurry and nothing to lose.
If you added the printed book to a membership
Adding the Annual Edition to a digital membership is a single payment of $150. It does not renew and it does not change your membership price.
Within 30 days, email us and we refund it in full. Your membership carries on unchanged.
After 30 days, if the book has not yet been printed, we refund it in full. If it has been printed and mailed, we do not refund it. The book exists and it is yours.
If we get it wrong
A book that arrives damaged, or does not arrive at all, we reprint and resend at our cost. Tell us within 60 days of the ship date.
If Innerfolk is unavailable for an extended period, tell us and we will put it right by extending your membership, refunding you, or both.
If we ever shut down
We will give every member at least 90 days' notice and refund the unused part of their membership. Exports keep working for the whole 90 days, and we produce the Annual Editions for any year already finished.
How to ask
Email support@innerfolk.co. A person reads it, and a person will answer. There is no form, no phone tree, and no retention offer.
To cancel, email the same address. One line is enough. Canceling from inside the journal is being built; until it is there, a person does it for you, which is slower to read about and no slower to happen. We process it the same business day and honor the date you wrote, not the date we read it.
