This year is going faster than you think.

One question a day. A book of your year.

One question each morning, chosen for what's on your mind. A few lines are enough. At the end of the year, your writing becomes a book.

WHY WRITE ANY OF IT DOWN

Remember what it was like to be you.

Think back five years. You can probably remember where you lived, what you did for work, and the big things that happened.

What were you looking forward to? What conversation kept running through your head? What felt important then that barely crosses your mind now?

Remembering what happened is not the same as remembering what it was like to be you. Writing now gives you your own words to return to later.

A few lines are enough. You do not need a remarkable day or a lesson learned. Innerfolk gives you a question to begin with.

HOW IT WORKS

Three things. That is the whole of it.

There may be a notebook somewhere with a few entries in it. You wanted to write. Deciding where to start each time turned out to be another thing on the list.

1

You say what's on your mind.

Work, money, love, something ending, something you can't name yet. Six taps.

Which one is loudest?

Work.

A question arrives every morning.

Approved by a person, chosen for what you told us. Your answer stays private.

Today's question

What are you more afraid of — leaving, or staying another year?

Chosen because work is loudest, and you have been in it a while.

Staying. I keep telling people it's fine and I can hear myself doing it

DonePRIVATE

Along the way your own entries come back and ask whether they are still true. The writing is worth something long before the book.

It's fine. The money is fine, everyone is nice, and I think I might actually be ready to leave.

Your year becomes a book.

At the end of your year your entries are gathered into an edition — what you thought, hoped for and noticed, in your own words.

The front of an Annual Edition.

Journaling apps are built to never end. The Innerfolk year finishes. A year after you start, that year closes and becomes a book — and the next one begins in the same journal, with everything you have written still in it.

THE QUESTIONS

The question changes because your life does.

Your question is chosen for what you tell us about your life. It gives you somewhere to begin — what you are hoping will change, why a conversation stayed with you, or what you would like to keep exactly as it is.

Every question is approved by a person before it reaches you.

Pick what is going on for you and see what you would actually be asked.

Want a week of these?

One a day for seven days, for the chapter you picked. No account, and it ends by itself.

NOT THE ONLY ONE

Somebody else got your question today.

Nothing is shared unless you tap to share an answer.

You can read what others chose to share in response to the same question. You might recognize something of your own life in their words.

Only an age and a region appear beside each shared answer. No names, follower counts, or replies.

WHAT YOU KEEP

Your year, bound.

Your year, gathered into an edition, with a cover drawn from the days in it.

What is inside it is your own writing, typeset properly, with the question above each answer and the date you wrote it.

Six Annual Editions on a shelf, one color a year.

MAKE ONE

Every dot is a day of your year.

The ones in color are the days you wrote. The bigger ones are the days you wrote more. Lines join the days that came close together.

Nobody designs this. It is drawn from your own year, once that year is over. Drag the slider and watch one happen.

VOLUME I

How much, on a good day a few lines
Your color Clay

A day you wrote. The larger it is, the more you wrote that day.

A day you did not. They stay on the cover.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

The things people ask.

Tap a dot to open one.

Nothing happens. There is no streak to break, no badge, no red mark, and no email asking where you have been. The year view draws the days you wrote and leaves the rest blank — not as a gap, just as days.

Every entry is private the moment you write it. Your journal is stored in a file of its own that nothing else can read across. Nothing you write is sold, advertised against, or used to train AI models. Sharing an answer is a separate decision you make one entry at a time.

You have 7 days before anything is charged. To cancel, email support@innerfolk.co — one line is enough, and we process it the same working day. No retention offer, no questions asked. Everything you wrote exports as plain text and leaves with you.

People. Writers, therapists, and people who have been through the chapter a question is for. Every question in the library has a person’s name attached to it. None are generated the moment you open the page — that is the difference you will feel on the third day.

Tap Not right and another one arrives. And if there is something you would rather never be asked about — a person, a loss, a subject — you say so once and it never comes up again.

No. Most people write a few times a week and that is a completely normal way to use it. You can also change how often we ask, or turn the reminder off entirely.

Both include everything the journal does, and both include your Annual Edition — typeset, covered, and yours to keep or print. The Edition tier adds a hardcover copy, printed and mailed within the US, four to six weeks after your year closes.

Your year runs from the day you join. Start in September and your book covers that September to the next, so it is a complete year of your life rather than a fragment of a calendar one.

When your year closes, the digital edition reaches you within a week. On the Edition tier the printed copy goes to the binder at the same time and arrives four to six weeks after that. Everything you write is in your journal from the first day either way

A year from now, you'll have this year in your own words.

What you hoped for. What made you laugh. What you couldn't quite explain. You don't need to have it all figured out to write it down.

This year is happening either way.

$99 a year, or $249 with the book printed and mailed. 7 days free.
