How this works, in writing.

Four documents. The first is the plain-English version and it is the one worth reading; the other three are the formal ones, and they say the same things at greater length.

How we handle your writing

Your entries are private. Each member's writing is stored in a file of its own that nothing else can read across. We do not read them — not for quality, not for research, not out of curiosity. The only time a person here would open a member's file is if that member asked us to.

We do not sell it, advertise against it, or train AI models on it. There are no ads in Innerfolk and no advertisers involved in it. Nothing you write feeds back into the questions — those were written by people, in advance.

Sharing is one entry at a time. Nothing you write is visible to anybody unless you tap to share that particular answer, and a shared answer carries a region and an age. No name, no profile, no way to reply, no way to find anything else you wrote.

You can take it with you. Everything exports as plain text, from your profile, any time. No request, no waiting, no format you cannot open.

You can delete all of it. Email us and your account, your entries file, and every row connected to you are gone within 30 days. We confirm when it is done.

Cancelling takes one email. No retention offer, no questionnaire, no reason needed. We handle it the same working day. And if you were charged for a year you did not want, see the refund policy — the answer is that we refund it.

The three formal documents

Privacy Policy — what we collect, where it lives, who else is involved, how long we keep it, and what your rights are.

Terms of Service — what we are selling, what happens if you stop paying, what happens if we stop providing it, and who owns what you write. You do.

Refund Policy — the short version: 21 days free, then 30 days from any charge to change your mind, renewals included.

Cancelling

Email support@innerfolk.co and say you would like to cancel. One line is enough. You do not need to give a reason and we will not ask for one.

We process it the same working day, and we always honor the date you wrote to us rather than the date we got to it. You keep full access until the end of the term you have paid for.

There is no retention offer and no questionnaire. If you cancel within 30 days of a charge, see the refund policy — the answer is that we refund it.

Self-serve cancellation is being built into the journal. Until it is there, a person does it for you, and that person is trying to make it take about four seconds of your time.

Before you go, everything you have written exports as plain text from your profile, any time, with no request needed. Export first if you want to keep it.

Two things we will not put in small print

If we ever shut Innerfolk down, we will give every member at least 90 days' notice, refund the unused part of their membership, keep exports working for the whole 90 days, and produce the Annual Editions for any year already finished. That is in the terms, and it is there because we would rather commit to it now than decide it under pressure later.

If we change any of these documents, we will email every member before the change takes effect rather than after, and say what changed and why in the email itself rather than behind a link.

Questions about any of this? Email support@innerfolk.co and a person will answer.
